Triune God Print

The most well known imagery in the bible, that of the lion the lamb and the dove. Each representing a different form God takes and the impression we have of him that comes with it.

The Lion: A King, a Leader, a Protector, Fierce, Strong, Noble, Brave, Dignified and Courageous. Often used to reference God "The Lion of Judah"

The Lamb: Gentle, Meek, Humble, Innocent, Pure, Unblemished, A Sacrifice, Lead by a Shepherd, a 'Child'. Often used to reference Jesus, our Passover Lamb.

The Dove: New beginnings, Presence of God, Anointing, Purity, Peace, Hope, Transformation. Often used to represent the Holy Spirit, Ru'ah Ha-Kodesh, our Teacher and Comforter.

Many years ago someone described the three forms God takes in the perfect way. It can be difficult to grasp how, Jesus is God, but God is God, and yet the holy spirit is God? How can this be? The explanation was so simple.

Think of God as water, water is one element, however it can take different forms. If you freeze water it condenses and creates ice, this we'll say for now is 'God'. Then you have water, this form we will say is Jesus (Ironic as he is refrenced alongside 'living water' many times). Finally you have steam, which we will say is the holy spirit. Now all three are water, but it simply takes different forms.

This is how God shows himself to us, it is always him, he just appears in different forms depending on the situation at hand and the purpose He has.
