Obey Print

Based on scriptures from Mark 4:41, and Matthew 8:27 "the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!".

This is heavy with significance for three reasons, first this miracle was witnessed and documented by over twelve witnesses, secondly this is a reminder to have faith not just when life is going smoothly but also when it is turbulent.

Finally this scene is a wake up call. Even when in the presence of God Himself the disciples panicked and lost their faith in Him at the first sign of trouble, they woke Jesus who was sleeping in peace despite the storm, He rebuked them "you of little faith, why are you so afraid" for He was there with them! what had they to fear?

Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was perfectly calm. This reminded them not only that He is God residing in a physical body but it was a reminder that everything is within His power and control, with just a quiet word even the wind and waves will obey Him.
